When we take meetings about meetings, conferences about thinking about the changes we could make, agendas and politics out of the equation we are left free to make real lasting change, which we all have an active part in making happen on a global scale.
The girl that silenced the world for 5 mins is not special, but she IS the voice of our hearts unburdened by the myriad of issues which cloud or prevent governments from making blanket decisions for all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQmz6Rbpnu0
We know that she is right in what she says not because of the detail, but because the root of her message is :-"What are we leaving in our wake for future generations to come, and what are we really doing to make a difference?"
Conferences decide on targets to agree on, but what’s the point if we don’t remember why we are trying to achieve those targets?
What is the point of a target when our own generation may not be around to see if it worked?
The point is to learn to become altruistic for the sake of our future generations, and if we don’t know what altruistic means, Google it!
Waiting for government to fix our long term problems is a pointless act when government has only short term goals based on their short time in power.
Going back to agendas, why would any government want to help with long term issues and risk potentially becoming unpopular with the greedy voters? They only have 4yrs at a time to worry about, and anything that cant be fixed in that time is passed to the next government to deal with at their peril.
Only children are not clouded by short term agendas on long term issues. They are the clear voice, and the guardians of the future yet to come.
So its about time we stopped waiting for government to make a long term difference and listen to our soul and remember we have the power within us all to make a positive change however small, because together our actions great and small combined have the power to shape a better long term future for us all and our children to inherit.

If only the Earth were a few feet in diameter...
If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter, floating a few feet above a field somewhere, people would come from everywhere to marvel at it.
People would walk around it, marveling at its big pools of water, its little pools and the water flowing between the pools.
People would marvel at the bumps on it, and the holes in it, and they would marvel at the very thin layer of gas surrounding it and the water suspended in the gas.
The people would marvel at all the creatures walking around on the surface of the ball, and at the creatures in the water.
The people would declare it precious because it was the only one, and they would protect it so that it would not be hurt.
The ball would be the greatest wonder known, and people would come to behold it, to be healed, to gain knowledge, to know beauty and to wonder how it could be.
People would love it and defend it with their lives, because they would somehow know that their lives, their own roundness, could be nothing without it.
If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter.
